Hannah Elfman, MS, CGC

Genetic Counselor

Hannah Elfman is a board certified genetic counselor in the Prenatal Diagnosis and Genetics Department at the University of Colorado Hospital. Her role is to provide risk assessments for patients to have a pregnancy with a genetic condition based on personal and family history, discuss options for preconception and prenatal genetic testing, interpret results of genetic tests, and support women and couples in making informed decisions about their pregnancy. She also works along team members at the University to offer bereavement support for patients and their families.

Hannah received a master’s degree in genetic counseling from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in Manhattan.


Jenifer R. Kruse, MS, RDN, CDCES, ACSM-CPT

Certified Diabetes Educator & Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Jenifer R. Kruse is an accomplished Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Diabetes Educator, Certified Personal Trainer and lecturer committed to helping people lead healthier lives and reach their maximum potential. She holds a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics and Institutional Administration, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Jenifer has extensive experience as a diabetes educator, clinical and outpatient dietitian, adjunct faculty member, public speaker, and entrepreneur. She has been providing care for Gestational diabetes, Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes and prediabetes in a variety of settings, including endocrinology and perinatology, for over 20 years.

Philosophy of care

"As a Certified Diabetes Educator, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, I'm constantly seeking to discover optimal therapeutic approaches to not only alleviate symptoms, but to also prevent the onset of chronic conditions. My approach to patient care is to treat the person, not the disease. As a Diabetes Specialist, I am committed to helping my patients thrive, grow and achieve optimal health, especially as it pertains to utilization of nutrition and lifestyle."

Kestutis Micke, MS, CGC

Genetic Counselor

Kestutis Micke is a board certified genetic counselor at the Colorado Fetal Care Center located within Children’s Hospital Colorado. He earned his master’s degree in genetic counseling at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Kestutis specializes in the assessment of fetal anomalies and rare diseases. Additional interests include prenatal whole exome sequencing and telemedicine/rural care.

I strive to ensure that patients understand genetic information and its implications, so they can make decisions regarding their pregnancy."

Amy Wehbe, MS, RD, CDCES, BC-ADM

Certified Diabetes Educator & Registered Dietitian

Amy Wehbe is our Diabetes Educator & Registered Dietitian. She completed her undergraduate nutrition degree at South Dakota State University and a master’s degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), formerly known as Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), in 2015. Amy is Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM), and since 2018 she has primarily worked in obstetrics with gestational, type 1, and type 2 diabetes.
